'Information In; Creative Responses Out'

“One of the great joys of life is creativity. Information goes in, gets shuffled about, and comes out in new and interesting ways.”  Peter McWilliams

Born in Detroit on Aug. 5, 1949 McWilliams was an author, poet and photographer whose first book of poems Come Love with Me and Be My Life was published when he was just 17.

By age 25 he had written a series of Transcendental Meditation books that made the New York Times bestseller lists and was followed by the best-selling Portraits - A Book of Photographs by Peter McWilliams.

Ultimately the author of more than 40 books he also was a much-sought-after speaker, but both careers were cut short by his death at age 50 from non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

“While goals are chosen, a purpose is discovered,” McWilliams said.  “Our purpose (as human beings) is something we have been doing all along and will continue to do regardless of circumstances, until the day we die.”
