As a "farm kid" I was always taught by my parents to respect the land
and the environment. Traveling across our great country, I have found
so many beautiful places where it is obvious that the people living
there have taken that advice to heart. I like this quote by Theodore
Roosevelt, who has inspired me to do some writing about some of these
places.
“Of all the questions which can come before this nation, short of the
actual preservation of its existence in a great war, there is none which
compares in importance with the great central task of leaving this land
even a better land for our descendants than it is for us.”
