This year marks the 100th anniversary
of John Muir’s death. More than just a “naturalist,”
Muir became known for his musings on nature and his writings about the roles that
people must play in preserving our natural world – not only for our own
enjoyment and the sake of the plants and animals, but also for future generations
and our planet’s well-being.

“When one tugs at a single thing
in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.” --John Muir
