It was
about a year ago that we had the devastating rainstorms in Colorado and maybe
it was seeing on TV and reading about the deluges in Arizona and Nevada that
re-triggered memories of last year’s floods when I was awakened in the middle
of the night by the sound of rain falling once again.
But,
this time it was a far more gentle rain and after I fell back asleep I didn’t
have a nightmare about either a deluge or a flood, but instead dreamt about
splashing in puddles as a kid. A
gentle rain falling in the middle of the night can trigger both good memories
and the hope for a rainbow – like the one above that greeted us from our deck.
And I
saw two kids on their way to school splashing happily in the puddles as they
walked by.
