As we
drove across Western Nebraska into Eastern Colorado, we found ourselves caught
up in the patterns made by the soon-to-be harvested fields, edged by autumn
wildflowers – a perfect display of man-made and nature-made, running
side-by-side for miles upon miles. And
we were grateful for an experience we had either missed on an earlier trek
through the region, or had forgotten because we were thinking it was a just
another tiring, tedious trip. It turns
out that it’s not tiring or tedious at all – we just weren’t looking at it with
the right attitude.
