The Sunrise Effect

Sunrises not only symbolize new beginnings but another way that nature never ceases to provide pretty much all the fodder you need to feed your writing habit.  How many times have you seen chapters of books or segments of stories that open with the rising of the sun?  Good starts, transitions, and – when photos accompany – feasts for the writer’s eye.

I love this quote by John Lennon (yes, THAT John Lennon):  “When you do something noble and beautiful and nobody noticed, do not be sad. For the sun every morning is a beautiful spectacle and yet most of the audience still sleeps.”
